Ingredients
Preparation
- 1 fondue Chic! au cidre (cider) by 1001 Fondues, 350 g (12 oz.), diced
- 1/2 packet of Chinese hot pot broth Chic! Fondue by 1001 Fondues
- Vegetable oil
- 454 g (1 lb) ground beef
- 500 ml (2 cups) water
- 1 bag of nacho chips
- 398 ml (14 oz) canned white beans, drained
- 1 red bell pepper, diced
- 1 tomato, seeded and diced
- 2 green onions, thinly sliced
- 125 ml (½ cup) store-bought salsa
- Sour cream, guacamole, and salsa for serving
- In a large saucepan, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Cook the ground beef, stirring with a wooden spoon to break it into small pieces. Add half of the fondue (hot pot) broth packet and half of the water (follow cooking instructions). Cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, until the meat is cooked through and the liquid coats it well.
- Prepare the fondue according to the package cooking instructions.
- Preheat the oven to 200 °C (400 °F).
- Spread a layer of nacho chips on the bottom of a large baking dish. Sprinkle with a bit of each topping (beef, white beans, bell peppers, tomatoes, and green onions). Top with a little fondue. Repeat layers with remaining nacho chips, toppings and fondue until all ingredients are used up.
- Bake in the oven for 10 minutes or until heated through. Serve the nachos with sour cream, guacamole, and salsa.
